It has been confirmed! There is a great catalina deal going on at Kroger this week. For those of you that are new to the site, a catalina is the coupon that prints out at the register when you check out.
Purex laundry detergent is on sale for $2.49 a bottle. This price is the regular sale price. There is a Daytona sale going on with certain items. If you buy 10, you get $3 off (like the Mega Sale last week) If you include the 2 bottles of Purex in with the 10 sale items, the Purex will only be $2. 19 a bottle.
Buy 2 @ $2.19
$4.38 for 2
-$1.40 when you use 2 $.35 MQ (both will double)
=$2.98 for 2
You will get a catalina for $4 off your next purchase
If you don't have any coupons, and you don't include this in the 10 items, this is still a good deal. Keep rolling this same transaction over and paying with your catalina. If you have coupons, this makes the Purex free after your first transaction.
Let's say you are new to using coupons and you don't have any. Here is what you can do...
First transaction:
$4.98 when you buy 2 bottles @ $2.49 each
Second Transaction: (put the bar up or tell the cashier you want to pay for the next items separately)
$4.98 when you buy 2 bottles if you don't include them in the 10 item sale
-$4 catalina from transaction #1
=$.98 for 2 bottles (will be $.38 if you include these with the 10 item sale)
PLUS, you should get another $4 off catalina
Roll this over as many times as you want. HOWEVER, be nice to other shoppers and don't clear the shelf. We all want to be able to get in on the deal.

Great, I'll be going there today. Any idea how long the sale/catalina offer lasts?
P.S. It is very helpful to see what your scenarios look like for transactions at the various stores (like above) and the Walgreens transaction you were making this week with the razor coupons and register rewards.
